Judges:
Winner of the First Prize, worth €400 One4All voucher:
CoinaPhoto user: Liz Stowe
Photo: Window Shopping
"Liz has managed to capture a huge amount of detail in this great photograph and Francis Street has always held a place close to our hearts. The more you look at this image, the more you see. The store deals with centuries old history, in such a historically significant area of Dublin. The reflections in this picture say at lot, too. We felt this image went a long way in representing the scale and importance of the history of this great area." - James
"The photo symbolizes a unique element in human personalities of utmost curioisity and the quest for discovery. The photo, based in the Dublin 8 area, captures an old man peeking into an antique shop from behind. While his face is not immediately visible to the camera, the reflection of his face is visible through the glass in the window of the antique shop. This is athe highly personalised and special factor that makes this photo stand out. " - Jurate
Winner of the Second Prize, worth €150 One4All voucher:
Photographer: Norman Ross
"This photograph captures the magnificent Christchurch Cathedral in the stillness of the reflection. What captured my eye were the various blues in the photo, which is the colour of Dublin. This photograph was very well shot." - Tim
Other photos that won us over:
Photographer: Jeremy Simmons
Photo: Sunset Dublin 8
"Jeremy captured an iconic view of the Dublin 8 area, from a perspective unique to The Digital Hub. The sun sets over this recognisable silhouette, an outline that represents the hard work and industry of the Liberties area, as it reaches high into the sky. It’s a beautiful photograph." - James
Photographer: Arthur Fil
Photo: Park 2
"This is a beautifully unsual view of Dublin 8, shot in Phoenix Park. A silent moment of repose before the sun sets while the local wildlife comes out, is another amazing element about this park in the area. The dark colour scheme gives the photo a timeless effect." - Jurate
